New Gadget Recruited

It's Good Friday today - rest and relax at home and looking forward to go for this Sunday's Easter Service whilst Mr. G goes for his golf session :)

Last Saturday hubby says he will bring me to a 'secret place' for dinner and kept me in suspense till we reached the destination. The place is indeed quite 'ulu' but nice ambience there; with options of both indoor and outdoor dining areas :) Actually Mr. G had heard it over radio advertisement and decided to explore this new place together. Hmm.. I must say strict hubby can sometimes be quite sweet and dar at times, geezz...

(P/S: Couzie Janey, radio advert works!!)

Ooops! Mr. G says "Cover ur plump cheeks" *_* / Cheers ~ Need a mug of cold beer during this hot weather *Slurps*

On Sunday, yippies i got my new camera!! And yes we went to the same old favourite shop - Parisilk. Did some research online, called to check out the prices with other shops and it seems like Parisilk's still offering one of the best package in town :)

My new Nikon D3100! Can't wait to take pictures with it :D

April Updates

Mr. G's out of town again... and while he is away, i have been working on late nights. Many many events coming up, work seems never ending, hmms... Yesterday, one of my colleague who sees my still around at work after 8pm jokingly said, "Hey Xerene, go home - this is child abuse!" Oppssie... Of course i won't wear myself out and I'm glad i don't feel extremely tired - thank God for blessing me in good health :D

Okie enough of work. On the leisure side, Mr. G and I went to Goodwood Park's weenkend local high-tea earlier this month. After which, hubby thought we should go around Singapore hotels to check-out their brunch or high tea every first week of the month! I told Mr. G, "Well, i don't mind" hee hee.. As for Goodwood Park's Coffee Lounge, overall was not bad. The food was tasty but they should really look into adding more variety as you kind of get bored over eating the same few dishes after a couple of rounds. And ya, there were Mövenpick ice-creams for desserts but why was there no chocolate flavored? :(

Da Local Delights *Yum Yum*

Goodwood Park's Coffee Lounge - Nice Ambience :)

Meanwhile the things I'm looking forward to:
- Hubby's home sweet home tomorrow :)
- Getting my Nikon D3100 over the weekend!! Can't wait to have it in my hands, heee

Meet-up with Couz

Just back from dinner session with Couz Karling & Janey. Time passed really quickly everytime girls sit down and start chit chatting, heee... I'm glad to hear that they are both happy with work and all things are good :D

After i ate the Oreo Cheese last week with Hui, it left me with a not so satisfied feeling so i guess it led me to having cravings for nice Oreo Cheese cake. Both couzies wanted to ensure i have a good sleep tonight so they decide we should walk around till we find a cafe with 'nice-looking' Oreo Cheese cake. As the nearest stop was Coffee Club, they first suggested the place and i immediately said "No - i just had it last week. It was alright but their oreo cheese look very grey" heee.. So we headed on to our search and ended up at Flying Chillies (a Thai Restuarnt) @ Orchard 313.

Verdict: Xerene is now satisfied (can sleep well, hee), especially with the presentation of the cake :)

Target Spotted! As we walked passed Flying Chilli :D

We wondered why they took so long to serve the cake.. Well, worth the wait :)

Home Alone Week

Recently Mr. G is back to travel mode - Dubai, Jakarta, now Hong Kong then Malaysia - so home alone week for me.

Sometimes i do miss him much even if it's only a couple of days and though we still chat every night. I can't imagine in May where he will be probably be home for only a week or so? Alright, won't want to think about it for now. Just looking forward to hubby back in another 2 days! :)

Last week, it was home alone week for Hui Hui aka the new Mrs Pee. So we met up for dinner, had a good girl's talk session, did some shopping and went for dessert. Hui was so sweet, she just popped out 2 Jagabees and said "Nah, for you" - Reason, she said i need to put on weight, haha...

Our Dessert @ Coffee Club - The Bottom One is Mine, Make a Guess to the Flavour on this Greyish Cake?
(Answer: The gray colour, clay-look alike cake is actually Oreo Cheese! Taste alright but colour seems really off)

This Ain't No Normal Jagabee - It's with Lova! Hee hee...

Sad that L'occitane discontinued their Shea Organic Cotton Range, so i just had to source for altneratives
This Kiehl's Moisturizer is not bad too - Mild and non-greasy feel :)

It's Here!

Our delivery today......

HUGE Box!

Da-dah!!

The new Stokke Xplory v3 in purple! :) We went to buy this stroller last weekend at Taka Baby Fair and although we still have a couple of months before we can start using it, the discount offered was better than usual so we have to decide.

I'm particularly attracted by the high chair function and adjustable height, reversible facing etc which distinguishes it from the others. Well i did lots of research, price considerations and was contemplating which to get - Soooo many strollers out there in the market, so many different reviews (pros & cons) - wow, tough choice!

After much thoughts, we decided to go for this one as there are many ravings about this Xplory; also quoted as 'One Of The Best Parent Friendly Stroller'? We'll see :)

We ordered the cup holder too :)

High Chair Function / This is how it will look after set up - love the Purple!

Hubby's First Valentine Gift

Da-dah! Here's my first v.day gift from Hubby:

An ironing board? Heee... Yeah, he bought it on v.day and jokingly said this shall be my v.day pressie since he haven't bought any gift for me. Heh, trying to hint me to do more housework...?? :) I'm glad this is not really a gift for me but i'm sure our part-time cleaner will be happy to have a good new ironing board :D

Every year on valentines day, lovely G will send me flowers and i'm so happie that he didn't forget this year. *In thoughts: "Marriage is not the end of surprises and romance?" Heee... i do hope so. Earlier in the day on Valentines, sweet Mr. G sent flowers to my work place. This year slightly special, i got 2 bouquets! Of course he won't send two but just happened that the florist delivered the wrong flowers on the actual day and they re-sent the correct order on the following day. That's why i ended with two; the one and only year i will get 2 bouquets from Mr. G :)

1st Delivery - The wrong order

This is the correct one with Ferrero Rochers! :)

Thanks Hubby!! :)

Posting on Phuket Trip

Official NO WORK for this week! Yeappies! No plans to go overseas so shall stay in Singapore, do some shopping, relax and spend more time with hubby.

So whilst our part time cleaner is doing house work, i shall take some time to blog on our November Phuket Trip - Heh, my first beach resort/island trip; aside from Sentosa :)

When we are doing the planning, many of our friends told us beach resort places are very nice. Indeed, it was better than i expected, its definitely a good short get-away. However, i guess if you want to travel during public holiday seasons, a must must to book way beforehand as we spent 1k on our Tiger air tickets!!

Mr. G's friend recommended him La Flora at Patong Beach, so we stayed there. One word - Fantastic! Love the location, our room is 15 steps away from the beach, excellent service and spacious room :) We booked the direct pool access room and the balcony is linked to the pool. As its a small boutique hotel, the place is not too crowded with people, quiet yet accessible.

Well, for other reasons.... :D this is a very memorable trip for us :)

Welcome Drinks & Flowers from the Staffs of La Flora

Our Room - Open Concep, Hee..

Mr. G at the Balcony with Direct Pool Access :)

Hungry!! Time to Makan!

After Food - Mr. G tries Para Sailing. Well for me, i backed out *_*

Mr. G, all READY!

So for me, my job is to take pictures heee... Board the speed boat :)

Oooh... Mr. G's UP!

And UP! UP!

After this, Mr. G tried Jet Ski. Same, i was scared so we shared one. Of cos he was the main rider :)

Time Passed So Quickly and it was Dinner Time :)

After Dinner - We went out for a walk + Watched the 'Ping-Pong' Show, Heee..
(Ping-Pong Show: Very interesting indeed. To guys, i guess it's a great place for them heh. Not recommended to sit at first row unless you are prepared to go on stage!)

Back Hotel with Sweet Decor

Next Morning - Time for Sun Tanning & Beach!
(I'm finally prepared to get tan, for once :)

Followed by Lunch + Shopping + Massage (Awesome!)

As it was our First Trip to Phuket - We went Phuket FantaSea (recommended by hotel)

Phuket Fanta Sea: Take Pictures, Eat Buffet, Play Some Games, Watch a Play
(Hmm, a place more for family with kids)

Mr. G trying to aim for the basket

It's soooo Far! The ball can't event get near the basket :(
